Portrait of a House Art Prints

In December 2022 I launched my Sunburnt in the Suburbs solo art show at the Pine Rivers Art Gallery! For this show I developed a series of illustrations that celebrate the architecture and aesthetic of the suburbs up north in the Moreton Bay Region.

Some characteristics I noticed while developing this show - the houses are often low-lying, brick or weatherboard, with coloured glass, BOLD paint choices and sometimes come with some very home-made renovations. These homes are gorgeous, familiar and endlessly fun to illustrate. Even if you never lived in one you’re kind of emotionally attached to them in some way, or at least that’s what everyone keeps telling me.
